My Deepest Love
As the darkness closes in around me
I feel my life just drain away
I just lay here and let it happen
Every single day
I have no regrets for what I've done
Or for how I feel inside
I only wish I'd been true with you
Instead of letting my feelings hide
But the world goes on around me
And you've moved on as you should
Remembering the love we shard
Still makes me feel so good
I saw you just the other day
And everything felt so right
Yet also a little confusing
Laying with you in the night
I once loved you more
Than I cared to admit
I think I still love you now
And I'm not sure if I want to keep feeling it
I'm not sure if we could ever
Have what we once shared
For now it feels so wrong
To tell you that I care
Too many times hearts were broken
And now the world has moved on
And I can't helping thinking
"This is definitely wrong"
I'll care for you always
No matter what we say or do
And deep inside I'll know the truth
That I can no longer love you
