My Death Was To Come

My Death was to come - that Death, mine was to be - to know -
and then i saw the Stars rise - my Many Deaths rose - and i was led
to death - and did it.

i died - with Truth, with Beauty, With Death, and Darkness, and Light,
With No, with many a, Wise Man, with many a Soul, so solitary,
so many Perish, like a Fragment - And those who died before -
are not, nor never were, Mine - and Life to me shall return
on that other Day.

Voices grew quiet, then, and a great stillness descended.
i stood alone, as the World goes asleep, in an open glade, where roses
grow wild and Shining Flames rise from deep wells, a blue Sea rages
and the Ocean rolls and then, in my Dwelling, came my Captain

And i felt him coming through the heat, and the sound of the Heart-beat
and he sat beside me,

my death.
