My Death Day

I'm awake.
In a coffin.

Watching you.
You're sad, but
Silently relieved.

Now that I'm
Dead you are
Free to return to
Normalcy.

Though I can see
You, love.

Rigor mortis and all,
Cold body, the icy pupils.
I stare up at you,
Waiting for a tear.

But there is only a
Smile from you.
