Jack Ellison Poet Quatrain

My Dear Sweet Mo

Three little words, “I'll love you to infinity”
Okay, please don't write me a letter
I realize it's five little words but who cares
Five words are probably better

To prove the depth of my deep devotion
I'll use all the tricks in the book
Must be showing on my time-weathered mug
With this sappy dreamy eyed look

Can't help it, I look and feel like a clown
No control, you're totally to blame
A flaming passion my dear sweet Miss Mo
You're constantly fanning my flame

Guess you could call it a poem about love
Some poets are famous for this
Really not asking for no fame or fortune
Just a tender sweet hug and a kiss

Okay THREE little words then, “I love you”
Really has quite the same meaning
Thinking of yelling it from up on the rooftop
But I might get arrested for screaming!

A flaming passion my dear sweet Miss Mo
You're constantly on my mind!!!
