My Dear Late Wife

MY DEAR LATE WIFE

i was a island in a sea of lonliness
pounded by waves on all 4 sides

all our friends have acended to a far better place
and my youth has now far passed me by

but on the horizon i spotted a ship
a vessel to rescue me

it came in the form of 2 adults an 2 kids
it was our daughter and her family

i now have a reason to carry on
i look forword to a new day

i only wish that you could be with me now
because i miss you in every way

but don't worry darlin i'll be with you soon
when my work here is finally done

then the angels will come an call out my name
an we'll once again be together as one
