My Day Inside a Beer Bottle
My pace slowed like that of a turtle,
When I spent a day in a beer bottle.
The world kept spinning with high speed
And seemed to be waiting for no one
Thunder balls rolled along the ground
And the skies, clothed in heap of sand
Boys changed to girls
And girls changed to boys
The world had its head down
And its feet towered the skies
My own feet seemed to have kept their distance,
For they gave me no attention.
They had clearly chosen alcohol over me
And had given it their undivided devotion.
I wandered with my shirt around my shoulder,
Exposing the six-packs obtained during my
fierce battle with hunger .
I couldn't stop jumping,
For the gutters kept uttering my steps
I lost my way home, although took carefully
every step.
I saw on the road to intoxication
Signs of blurred vision
Never took it into consideration
It later got my knees weaken
My day was spent inside a beer bottle
Woke up the next day ,
Only to see
I drunk my life out.
