My Daughters

Grown up at last.
 Now I can bask
 in their reflected glory.
 But what a story.
 Three little beauties,
 with brains to match.
 Not such a task,
 with help from Shaun.
 They all get along.
 It's easy to tell.
 We both did swell.

Their beauty is , well obvious, but I dare say with brains and a mother as you, well the beauty is by far more than skin deep! :) Lovely dedication, you just be so proud!

Beauty is only sin deep Arthur. Still, your lovely compliment to me did not go unnoticed. I blush.

Out of 600 possible points in the final secondary school exams, our eldest brainy box got 535. Then the second one surprised us all with 540. One of the big differances is, they can all spell 100% better than me Arthur.

Your day will come James. My baby is twenty now. When babies are born, I tell the mothers it's the first twenty years you have to worry about. Funny but true.

Lucky you Eve, mine neved did what they were told. In the end, I tidied up for them all as it took less energy. To this day, one will say she doesn't know how to load a dishwasher, and another does not know how to handwash garments. So they say.....

OMG, they are gorgeous! I read your poem and didn't see you had posted a photo of them because it takes a bit to download on my kindle. How lovely they are and no wonder you are such a proud mom! ; )

A job well done Connie? A boy would have been a strange creature in comparison I know you'll know.

Fast is not the word. Overnight, more like it. You have a lovely family Jean. I know they're as proud of you as you are them. Enjoyed the read. It made me smile:)

Thank you Daniel. I am a little more embarrassing than the run of the mill embarrassing mum, but they are used to me now.

I cannot find the words Jan. Just looking at their beautiful faces there brings me back to their childhood faces and reminds me of the ties that bind.
