My Daughter, My Life

You’ve come a long way my child
I’ve loved you since your first smile
Yes its true your arrival was hard
Bestowed on you the road that was scarred
But you’ve become such a strong young woman
With a future ahead
If you could just get those unworthy thoughts
Out of your head
Practice self- love and confidence
Try to look to God for extra guidance
Your life is all in your hands
Careful with all your unforgiving demands
They leave you feeling down and overwhelmed
Put your foot forward and be in control of your helm
And try to remember you’re not alone
Because companionship is right by the phone
You’ll always be treasured no matter what you do
There couldn’t be anyone else that loves you as I do
God gave me the gift to give life
And I thank him for that and never thought twice
For this miracle he gave to me
My baby girl
She will always be
The center of my world
