My Daughter

This poem is what I wrote about my daughter.... MY DAUGHTER: Each day that passed by I felt you growing inside me, I felt you kick for the first time, I felt you moving around a lot. I would talk to you, read you storys, and sing you lullabies to you. When I went to my appointments I heard your heart beat on the ultrasound. Then you were born I remember the first time you looked at me so innocent with all the love to give you had a lot of hair and little fingers and tiny toes even tiny feet. I had been so proud to be your mother. I have and always will feel that you are so precious. You have grown up to be a young woman now 13 years old in training bras and almost in high school. You have a lot of challenges ahead of you with your mental illness and your so happy all the time. When you look at me with that innocent smile and bright eyed and bushy tailed look it makes my heart melt. I love you always and for ever. Your mom Julie McKoon.
