If I am a rose, my darling,
then you are the leaves;
and we will grow entwined.
If I am words, my darling,
then you are a tune;
and our song will mingle.
If I am death, my darling,
then you are life;
and my tears you will kiss.
If I am sorrow, my darling,
then you must be joy;
and you will show me beauty.
If I am sadness, my darling,
then you are pleasure;
and will hold me close to you.
If I am, a rose, my darling,
then you are the leaves;
and until the end we are one.
