My Cry

I lie inside myself,
Shadowed and cold,
All alone,
As I unfold,

With no one there,
And the darkened lights,
The heavy rain,
And the endless nights,

Where are you,
I’ve reached out before,
Can you hear me,
Can’t take anymore,

Are you up there,
Hear my cry,
Answer me,
Before I die.
