My Co Worker Gi Gi

At first they are just people who work where I do.
I try not to get too friendly to most of them.
But once in a while a new one comes in and I run to her.
Yes, it is usually a she, and this time it was.

I said “Here is your chair! Sit by me! Sit by me!”
I was not wrong; we have become soul sisters.
I adore her, and am so glad I decided to work this year.
For it would have been sad not to have known her.

And I doubt we would have found each other anywhere else.
Now that I have her, I plan to never let her go.
I mean ever.
I hope she feels the same.
I think she does.

It is so wonderful to make a friend, a real friend, in a work situation. Rarely, I think, does that happen.
