I was walking snow covered woods, in my dream and came upon a fir tree; and I was struck by the bright glistening branches, dusted with beautiful new fallen snow; shimmering in moonlight . . . with stars shining through those branches, reminding me of Jesus's journey to Earth; oh, I will decorate that fir tree in the woods, 'cause could not imagine cutting it down; so went home for baubles . . . made of glass, wood and ceramic, also garland, tinsel and a golden star; it was a lovely dream of tree decorating, and in great respect for the nativity; I placed the star on top . . . and when I was finished- I stood, to behold the most beautiful fir tree; with stars shining through the decorated branches, and the star up top began to sparkle; in my Christmas tree dream . . . __________________________ December 7, 2018 Poetry/Verse/My Christmas Tree Dream Copyright Protected, ID 18-1092-660-01 All Rights Reserved. Caycay, thanks so much for visiting my poem with that beautiful comment, I appreciate. I hate that trees are cut down to decorate the inside of a home and then thrown to the curb withered ~

I've used the same tree for many moons, but, even though I agree with you, it is my understanding they plant one for everyone cut down (at least in the US, I think, I hope, I pray it is so). Be golden, girl

Your poem not only decorates a tree, but the moods of willing readers for it touched me with peace, beauty and the genuine spirit of Christmas, even created a longing to bundle up and sit under the branches bearing the beauty created. Seems a good time to wish you a Merry Christmas and internal peace. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Beautifully done my friend. This was an enchanting view of your dream that brought a happy smile to my face and a thrill to my heart. I have often thought about going out into a forest and decorating a random tree to wonder if anyone else would ever see it.
