My Child
*Another poem dedicated to my dog Einstein:
He sleeps on my legs and protects me
He wakes up happy, wagging his tail
He prances along on our walks outside
He gets excited if I dance or laugh
He comes to me spontaneously with kisses
He is smart and a graduate of classes
He's in tune to everything around him
He is sensitive and very focused
He loves to play fetch with his toys
He never leaves my sight, loves me day to night
He speaks when he knows who is on the phone
He guards my home every day start to finish
His love is abundant, he makes people smile
I couldn't ask for more; my dog, my companion, my child!
