My Charlie Brown Sleepers
Open my eyes and say to myself
How am I feeling today
Most morning, myself says, “are you nuts!”
“It's too early, turn over I say!”
Going back to sleep ain't gonna happen
I'd just toss and turn and moan
So it's “up and at 'im”, the time is now
“Rise 'n shine, you lazy bones!”
Drag myself out from under the covers
Wipe the sleep from my peepers
On the way to the bathroom, walk into a wall
And down go my Charlie Brown sleepers
So there I stand in all my glory
My masculinity exposed to the world
It's really nothing to get too excited about
Don't forget I'm 78 years old
But finally I manage to clear my head
Notice something's a little different
There's feeling of grass tickling my toes
In my stupor, outside I went
Imagine my horror as I stand there exposed
My Charlie Brown's down at my ankles
Of well, don't have any secrets anymore
As my “assets” create a big scandal
