My Cat
My Cat
I'd like to introduce my cat
She's sleeping on that fluffy mat
She's dreaming dreams I reckon that
Involve a mouse and getting fat.
When she wakes and wants to play
Which happens once or thrice each day
She purrs when tickled under chin
Then sinks her claws into my skin.
She rubs herself against my leg
A call for food for she won't beg
Something tasty from a pouch
Not from a can, claws out, ouch
And she won't scratch her scratching post
She seems to like our carpet most
And when she's settled on the couch
There she stays or... claws out, ouch
She has a nice pink tray to do
Essentials like a pee or poo
She does her thing here everyday
Then flicks the litter miles away
She can be such a loving cat
She likes a stroke or gentle pat
She's playful if she gets her way
Or else she's spiteful... like today
