My Car Bessie

I love my car called Bessie
Although she really is quite messy
All the doors are pretty rusty
Interior it is so dusty
Once she was a lovely blue
But now she's just a faded hue
The tyres are right down on their tread
And when I stop I feel such dread
One day a guy he came on by
My Bessie he did want to buy
I told him no, I love my Bessie
Even if she is quite messy

Just love poems about people's beloved rides. I wrote one year's ago titled Regal, Burgandy and Grey on my page 3 towards the bottom of the page. You might enjoy reading it.

Messy Bessie must have been close to your heart, Vera:) It took us many years before we were able to afford a car, and that was a small Fiat Bis. It served us well for 17 years, and then we gave it to a mechanic friend of mine, after acquiring a Toyota from Japan. ~ Best regards // paul

Well Paul it wasn't really close to my heart as it caused us so many problems, always spending money out on it but it is one car that sticks in our memory, we have had many cars but that was the worst, we have now come up in the world and have a SUV Hyundi. It will probably be our last car and she is brilliant, have had it for 8 years now and not one problem, thank you for reading this little poem and take care........Vera

Oh Peter what big dreams you have, mine would be a Porche, but I am happy with what I have, we have Hyundi SUV and I wouldn't swap it for quids, Bessie went down the tip many moons ago. Take care.........Vera

I ONCE HAD A 1973 DODGE CHARGER THAT I LOVED. I had to sell it during my first divorce. I'd take that car now over any I've ever owned since.

My goodness Robert that would have been a big car, yes it is strange how we always remember our first car, as I said to Silent we have had a lot of troublesome cars in the past, take care.......Vera
