My Bucket List Was Easy
My bucket list was easy.
Try to graduate from college. It took eighteen but I finally did.
We moved a lot!
Find a job. I found twenty-seven of them.
Successfully eliminated twenty-six, not for me.
Raise my three children to be good citizens. Check.
Give them everything I could to be successful neighbors. Check.
Save as many dogs as I could from pounds. I saved nineteen of them.
Save as many cats as I could, which is weird as I am deathly allergic.
I saved about eleven cats, finding them better homes.
Become a grandma. This was not easy; I could not do it by myself.
Thank you to my sons-in-laws and daughters, I have ten grandchildren.
Move to the country and enjoy my life.
I did not realize at the time I made a bucket list
That I would become an artist, poet, and painter.
I knew I was a cartoonist, because I had been cartooning since I was four.
I guess I have completed my bucket list.
