My Bucket List

I shall not travel up to Alaska, I think,
Where it’s mighty bleak, uninviting, and cold
Nor to South Dakota just to see Mount Rushmore
Where there is no longer any gold, so I am told.
The rest of the fifty I have already seen
So I’m venturing beyond our oceanic shore
To some unfamiliar places in far distant lands
Exotic sites calling to me as never before.
At my age, my bucket list is nearly complete
With two unique locations remaining to visit
Lovely temples and peaceful pastoral scenes
Thailand and Uruguay – not too much to ask, is it?

I enjoyed this poem. Alaska is the one state in the United States, I have not been to. I hope you enjoy your travels and fulfill your bucket list :)
