My Brother Bill

Death came to my door today
I should have known it was for me
When I felt the winds blowing in
The angels came to tell me

I saw them in my dream
I Should have known as they
We're coming down nodding my way
They were so brilliantly bright to me

I forgot to listen to the message
As they came to stand in front of me
I was awe struck when I saw them

I never knew my brother was sick
It was cancer of the liver
That struck him this day

I felt the tears stinging my eyes
I tried to keep them at bay
It didn't work to my dismay
Yes death came to my door
And took my brother away

" my brother passed on the 6th of May 2011"

3 different dreams, first with my brother, next the angels came in my
dream,,,, a month later my mother with my brother standing just behind her left shoulder. About two months later ,I seen my brother at front door about 10 seconds.

A special soul no doubt...a branch from the same root...how could you not see him. feel him, or miss him...His spirit is still present in the words of your poem...All the best

Your mind puts things together in dreams, and then they speak to us in a language all of their own. If you were a friend to your brother, I see this as a very unfortunate loss. This is a very kind poem.

I came back here to see if I could find one I'd not seen, but no such luck. anyway, you wrote me about aging. What month were you born? I am curious which of us is older by a few months. haha. Just this year I started getting a lot more white (gray?) hairs. I just hate it. always having to color it. you are lucky if you only have a few!!! Not to mention the little things I never saw coming. Ugggggg

Debbie, sweetheart. I am not surprised the angels visited you. God sends them to special people, and you are definitely special....I'm sure they also brought comfort and strength with which to cope... Love you dearly.... Jake

And so the angels softly sing as fall decends to bring the spring. A cold long winter ices veins. To be thawed out by summer rains. The seasons hold their mighty secrets. Reminding us what our soul forgets. That God is there in every day. To gently help us on our way. Take Care Debbie. :)

this is so sad, Debbie. I read your comment below about your mom's dream? And did you dream of the angels too? I am sorry for your loss.

God bless you and yours, Debbie, the 'angels' must have been sad bringing you this news. The sweet part is that they love you enough to bring it to you in person. I'd had dreams when my husband had passed on...they were so real, I thought he was playing a trick on me, keeping so still. Hope all's going well with you! I looked for your fairy write..I don't think I got the title right.:) Keep well..Mikki
