My Brooding Desert Rose

on my life long jurney
i've seen many splendid things
men who could bring down mountains
powder to give me wings
but the rarest thing
i have seen i suppose
is the dark and wounderous flower
my brooding desert rose
in her eyes i see the univers
in her smile, a gling of ire
a calm and placid surface
with a soul of hottest fire
one minute, i can see it
and i reach down my hand
but a thorn, it starts me bleeding
and like a dream its gone again
now i wander the wastelands
where this unique flower grew
i wish i could find her
hoping it might be
YOU!!!
