My Breath
With a dying breath I realize
I’m the one holding the blade
The one to my heart and veins
I really thought it was you
Until I opened my eyes
You, standing there gasping
“My Love, what have you done”
With a dying breath I realized
I was in your arms, tranquil to the world outside
.
.
.
No I wouldn’t die today
I thought with a smile
You are my breath
My only life
I’ll survive today,
For I realized,
You're my heart, soul and lungs
And I’m holding your dying breath in my lungs
I’ll stay alive for I am scared
Of the damages you will bear
I’ll stay alive for you, my dear
I’ll be here until all becomes clearer.
