My Bread and Butter
You are the bread and butter of my life.
You are the rainbow from yesterday's storm,
As lovely as that rainbow was in the sky,
It was your beauty that spoke your love,
While I wondered at your eyes.
You are the bread and butter of my life.
Your sweet humming brings up my moods,
You know I worry about my job and my boss.
It is you who keep on smiling,
Though you hurt inside for our loss.
You are the bread and butter of my life
We lost my job to the Corona,
Yet you created meals for the children,
You didn't eat all of your plate, as for me,
I stayed strong listening to your wisdom.
You are the bread and butter of my life.
You are the warm butter that flows
Over home made bread for your family,
You are the strength, the gold I love,
You stir me wildly and romantically.
You are the bread and butter of my life.
