My Box of Grace

God gave me His box of grace
He said, “Open, and look inside.”
So I gently lifted the lid and
found love buried deep and wide.

 “Keep searching”, he whispered softly.
“What more can you see and hear?”
“I see strength, knowledge and wisdom,
There is mercy flowing everywhere.

I hear peace like a river flowing
I hear victory’s melodious song
I hear hope’s refreshing showers
And see faith standing solid and strong

There’s unmerited favour abounding
Direction, for each difficult task.
And salvation is shining like summer.
Is that everything I need?” I asked.

“This grace is freely given
Through my strength you will succeed
This unlimited grace, freely given
Is sufficient for your every need.”
