My Body, My Home
On the ocean breeze, my spirit drifts. Then soars through the trees, on a current swift.
Through canyons I course, as great mountains stand still. Like an unsaddled horse, my soul has free will.
I gaze down far below, as the scenes all play out. In this moment I'm free, of that I don't doubt.
I look back at my body, that's lifeless but warm. Then look forward and smile, at the oncoming storm.
With lightning and thunder, my heart starts to race. As rain passes through me, I pick up the pace.
For a far destination, is where my soul wants to be. Where this worlds fascination, is all mine to see.
So I look to the stars, and the space that surrounds. As my soul takes to flight, and leaves these cold grounds.
Up up and away, I'm now drifting through space. Till I pause for a moment, then feel out of place.
For something is missing, though I'm not sure of what. But something is wrong, I can feel in my gut.
I feel lonely and lost, and I want it to end. So quickly I search, for my lifelong best friend.
As I settle back in, my soul bonds to bone. In an instant I'm happy, I'm no longer alone.
Though my spirit is free, to explore and to roam. This flesh human body, will always be home...
