My Body Betrays Me

There are nights where my body
Is turned into stone; my body
Betrays me once again

The monsters in the shadows
Crowd until they hover
Forming your face again
Just like the first time,
I can’t scream
My body betrays me

And it hurts; just like the
First time it happened
I’m unable to move, my
Traitorous body aches
And all I hear is your
Voice, telling me to take it

And my body still betrays me.
