My Black Bible

At times when a storm rage
and the wind blows like the world will end
and the trees bows and tall ones bend
...still i will hold it so close to my heart

Oh! it's my black bible

At times when war wage
and my soul it seem it will carry
friends and family seem to have gone on a voyage
...still i will hold it close to my heart
less I tarry

Oh! it's my black bible

From it I read myself back to hope
when I seem to be going down the slope

Oh! it's my black bible.
