My birthday today
It is a warm spring day
bees are buzzing
as I mow our overgrown yard
saturated by past storms
my dogs are restless
running amuck
through tall weeds
and dandelions
the sun is graceful
almost elegantly dressed
by the days clouds
I'm enjoying coffee after mowing
although it's 70 something degrees
it doesn't affect the 50 years I feel
