My Biggest Mistake

knowingly or unknowingly, the smiles I taint I can never claim to be a saint I make mistakes big and small isn’t that what humans do after all? I bow my head in compunction in prayer submitting myself and mistakes in His care but often fail to apologize to the ones I wrong to those ears too, my penitence does belong sometimes I reach out when it’s too late they’ve either forgotten me or the hate my biggest mistake is not apologizing in time that magnifies the trivial mistake to a crime I fail to muster the courage or word and fear that it might feel absurd should try harder to turn myself over instead of forever yearning for closure Written on 07/06/2016

so true and a wonderful lesson for all. I can really relate to that last verse in learning this lesson myself.
