My Bestie

My Bestie She came at a time where I was unsure of me Not of who I am but if who I am is worthy of that special four letter word My bestie taught me patience in the art of pursuit If I want it bad enough sometimes best thing is to slowly learn everything so that when I achieve it I can appreciate it My bestie taught me not to fall for the exterior because a designer bag depreciates if it’s only bull in it My bestie taught me to be soft on those healing because by mistake I can open a scar and be bled on by mistake Even though she knows I’m strong enough to be her punching bag the best I love you is safety and enough space My bestie knows we have no secrets no holding back can’t give her my heart if I can’t simply give a truth My bestie is the best of two worlds my love and my friend One day I’ll give her my last name, some kids, and a beautiful future My bestie taught me to never give up on who your meant for
