My Best Friends Lion Den

My Best Friend’s Lion Den

As my reclusive friend I know your nature
You don’t like anything or anyone or favor
To help you with this secluded kind of life
That is truly you. No!... It’s not a wife.
It’s not a turtle either my fine fellow
Though you need to lose your shell and be less shallow
When you go to sleep I’ll give my special gift to you
Perhaps perceived a bit eclectic, it is true
I’ll tie you up in twine and drive you to the zoo
Place you in the lion’s den
Make sure the critters have not been fed
Since you are my bestest of my bestest friends
And to that end
I’ll make sure you have a tranquilizer gun
That way you can have some fun
If you die, at least you tried
If you live, you will have great memories
Don’t worry; you don’t have to thank me
But if you do, please give me the gun
Remember, I was only having fun

Hi Carol, Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it. I'm sure this is not what they are looking for in the contest but I wanted to do something fun. Have a great day. Take care. Earl
