My Best Friend
I love my best friend,
friends forever and a day,
then one day we went,
to the next level,
didn't plan it at all,
but it did,
tried not to fall in love, but we did,
we knew it was not right,
but it didn't stop us,
my best friend and then my lover,
knowing it will not go any further,
but cannot let go,
do not want to let go,
so what do we do,
kept it a go,
for awhile longer,
oh! how I love thee,
it just can't be
at this moment in time,
always my best friend though,
that will never change,
I love you!
