My Beating Heart
i believe i am part breath
so i dare to second guess
i am a beating heart
that belongs just to you
(which I always knew)
i send a telegram to you
from here and now
back to May of 1885
just to have a year with you
and i keep remembering
how i once lost mostly
everything in a fire.
