My Bachelorhood
These Pairs that move in the streets
Always a lovely sight to behold
Giggling and clutching their arms happily
An air of romance encompass their lives
With no one to cherish or confide in
This young bachelor admires from a distance
Reminiscing those lovely times
And muttering the word “When”
Those mistakes I made keep haunting my thoughts
And my mind struggles to keep them out
“Excuse me” – a young lady calls from behind
“Have we met before” – She continues…
My eyes glance at her entire being
My mind relays the words… “Same old stuff”
My body agrees, and departs without a single word
This Bachelor will definitely be fulfilled
And will be fulfilled by the right being
