My Baby Boy

You would be three years old
The things in life I wish you could behold
Would you have been funny
Or been gentle, like me
Would you have my eyes
Would you have wanted a story every night?
If you were here I would never let go
Even though I only carried you in my tummy a little while
I carry you in my heart every day
A mean man hurt us
And took you away
But I see you everyday
I see you in your younger brothers' faces
I never got to name you
I never got to hear your cries
I miss you ever day though
My baby boy
