My Avatar Label

My avatar presents just what you see;
     a woman with a smile and dark brown hair.
Behind that smile, there lives a poetess...
     so, what you see reflects the outer me.

Beneath, reserved and quiet, I think deep
     to image, with fine words, what stirs my soul.
I chose a lifelike photo just because
     it is the shell that holds the real me.

So, here on Soup, I've placed my avatar...
     my face...it could have been a rose or bee.
For me, it does not matter how I'm seen...
     just how you feel about the thoughts I share.

The image on most things, like avatars...
     are labels for the treasures stored within.
