My Angel
Darkness has always been a trusted friend
Dark was the earth and even heaven
My mind was in turmoil everyday
My heart had many things to say
Out of the dark, I saw a shining light
In the far distance, small yet bright
My bleeding eyes could barely tell
That little light was a beautiful Angel
She asked me what troubles my soul
Why do tears from my eyes roll
She held to her bosom my battered head
I told her all fears my mind held
She smiled that angelic smile
She gave me all her love divine
She waved her wand and set me free
From the days and nights of misery
