My Alter Ego

In my eyes as a child my dreams forever grow,
I can catch the talons of an eagle and slay the meanest foe,
Drop to the peak of the mountain top and set my Princess free,
Dive the depths of the ocean and bring her back the sea,
To quince her thirst and cleanse her soul,
In the name of my friend, Ebie Sybie So.
I can slap my baby sisters and for all my parents know,
It wasn’t me who did it, It was Ebie Sybie So,
I remember this one most frightening time,
When the twins teamed up and beat my behind,
Ebie wasn’t there and it got real scary,
‘Cause my sister had two friends, Redeye and Kerry,
Redeye and Kerry must have assisted the twins,
You see they were Cindy’s two imaginary friends,
Out numbered but not out classed,
I cried to my mother hoping she’d beat their ass,
As I went to my mother with tears in my eyes,
The twins got smart and started to cry,
Mom came a running like a mother cat,
You see the twins were the youngest spoiled little brats,
What did you do to my darling little twins, tell me now, I want to know,
But Mom it wasn’t me who did it. It was Ebie Sybie So.
Well as time went by, it was half past nine,
When my mother took the switch and beat my behind,
She said, that wasn’t nice, what you did, you know,
But Mom, it wasn’t me who did it. It was Ebie Sybie So.
My mom said, when I lie, my lips begin to grow,
Like the nose of the puppet Pinocchio,
In my eyes, it wasn’t a lie,
And besides Cindy had two friends, Kerry and Redeye.
Back in the bathroom, in the mirror I stare,
What happened to you Ebie, don’t you even care?
The silence was deafening as my tears began to flow,
It wasn’t me who did it. It was Ebie Sybie So.
