Israel says Hamas-Gaza commits genocide murdering innocents while they paraglide Meanwhile Gazans weep and cry for thousands of innocents they claim died I know a Chicagoan who really tried to understand the rationale of each side He's concluded it’s mutual suicide

a profound and timely poem, Gershon. I can agree with your conclusion. Most of it doesn't make sense to me, beyond logical at this point.

Yes. To most people with no connection to the Middle East, the whole thing just looks insane. Why can't these people stop quarreling and just live together in peace, right? ... I sure wish that worked. But it doesn't. You've got Arabs and Jews claiming the same little strip of land. To divide it further is preposterous, esp. with 23 Arab countries, all larger, surrounding Israel. So, the Israelis simply aren't going to countenance a 24th state, esp. a terrorist state, on their immediate border. And that's that. ~ Gershon
