Mutilation

Credo of nature’s mutilation;
           Height ot man’s desperation:
                            Nature’s blood flows -
                                   Man’s repeated blows:
                                        Niger’s delta crude pollution.

A very sad thing you write about! Limericks are for funny things; however, you did the rhyme scheme properly. Good phrasing with "nature's blood flows" and it's all for "man's repeated blows" That was my favorite part.

Thank you Andrea,you are very much correct;my desire to write a limerick is my plight but when it is not limerick,it can never be limerick; I've put mutilation where it truly belongs: rhyme. How I wish I could write a good limerick,that is my friend Robert's favourite and I am eager to write one for him.Immense thanks for your watchful eyes Andrea.

This write shows exactly what we as humans can do to this planet! Sad really, that we live here but care so little for the well being of other animals and even our own lives! I really enjoyed reading this amazing poem this evening! What a glorious piece, Great Work!!
