Must It Be For Contest

must it be for contest prompt to make you read my lines? must I play up to the theme so that you'll take the time? must I spend inordinate time to visit everyone? must it be that what you read are poems that have won? Won't you come and visit me, and read a rhyme or two? Leave a little comment there and say, "How do you do?" Won't you read these simple words for love of poetry? I can relate, with having less time of late available at the soup, I receive far less comments on my poems. I think sometimes out of sight out of mind. I will continue to read old or new if time does not permit you to write. Hugs Rick

What a treasure. I haven't posted for some time (but now a few) and just remembered your face having shown up on my page. So it's more from gratitude and not because of a contest. I'm glad I did and gained sweet reward. It's very well done with enticing rhyme.

Eillen, In fact stargazing is difficult here in NW winters. But I'm on a team to redevelop Goldendale Observatory, also here in WA but in a clearer part. It's one of the largest public accessible observatories in the world, and I'm thrilled to be involved. I've also been busy doing a series of astronomy wall charts.

I honestly don't pay a lot of attention to contests and mostly enter them when I already have something written that I think would be fitting (but the challenge is fun). I come because I enjoy reading what you have to say. You have a heart and mind in there and the rhymes are just bonuses ;)

We all do at times...I've had a particularly tough month, but I've had a break between semesters and am feeling better, so I'm more able to be on here. The internet in Lebanon is horrendously slow...so that also factors in. Loved your post, dear. Thanks for dropping by. Maybe I need to writ a couple poems for contests to get....Back on the Map...so to speak. Hugs
