Must Have Been Regrets

Slowly and carefully
You walked into my heart
As if I was a baby

Slowly and gently
You pat my head
As if I was a gem

We talked one night
Your voice turns to whispers
A beautiful sound as I looked into your eyes

Today the tears won't stop falling
I feel empty for no reason
As if it knew our future

Must have been regrets
Our feelings turned monochrome
And I didn't do anything about it

I watched you the other day
Slowly you backed away from me
As if we're at the beginning of our stories

Must have been regrets
These tears I'm crying
As you walked away
