Musings on Rain

R aindrops gather softly on the edge of waiting leaves,
R ipples wander outward in a bowl left on the porch,
R oofs hum gently under the slow percussion’s touch,
R unnels slide down windows like unhurried silver threads,
R iver-scent drifts upward from the warming desert dust,
R est settles over everything the storm has brushed,
R ain envelops the world in a calm, reflective hush.
