Musings On Faith

The essence of our spirituality rests On having plenary faith in the Lord. Who are we without an omnipotent force In our day-to-day existence? When we find ourselves broken Who do we turn to for reconstruction? Or when the sun deserts the sky And days hang over us like a brooding cloud? How do we find a guiding light in the darkness? How do we move a mountain without faith? What is the measure Of our spiritual development? The essence of that development Is having steadfast faith in the Lord, Fully surrendering to a power Much greater than ourselves. By simply believing that God is Our savior; the Alpha and Omega Who sent only his begotten son To die for our sins, only then Do we earn the key to his kingdom. Developing and maintaining A relationship with God is essential. He works for and through us. He does for us all the things Impossible for us to do ourselves. He unfailingly fills the spiritual hole We created in our souls, gratis; As long as we believe in him, And follow him. .
