Musings On Faith

MUSINGS ON FAITH

With so many faiths competing with truth
What sense is left amongst all those words
Whether mankind sees an end of this world
Or merely closes its eyes and trusts in hope
It’s chaos that continues to rule over us all
As a small perturbation changes everything
What we believe one day, but not the next
All atoms eventually will enter another body
As with the universe, be it single or plural
Yet we as the intelligent species, need ritual
Mumbling together with a common thought
Or not, as it may not be as it first appears
Each active human mind unique unto itself
Yet there is still room for a higher power
Without any need for anthropomorphism
Just laws of physics, known and unknown
To which we can bow in ignorant servitude
When will we recognise there is no truth
