Musically Inclined

Her fingers strum
lullabies on my
dopamine lines
from one artery
to the next
She's connected
to every heartbeat
in every breath
like a ***** spiritual
to Still I Rise
Her touch exposes
 surprising endings
and unbelievable
encores followed by
Reach for More's
and dig deepers
So deep
I have to rinse soil from my soul
Having to apologize
 afterwards
because we went from hello
to one hundred miles into go
 Fingerprints
left on skin,
I retrace the chords
she played
My body her piano
tying Ribbons in the Sky
to Your Love is too Hype
Now close your eyes
and allow me to play
a tune or two on you.
