If I could purge
that part of my brain
that stores pain,
 
I would replace it 
with a soothing refrain;
Bach, Beethoven
 
or simply rain…

On youtube I listen to classicsl music and the sound of rain to help me fall asleep. I like your poem.

I think that we are supposed to be able to do this; I am a hypnotherapist, and have training toward this, but have not seen it. I admire your proponent of this though in the form of a poem.

Thank you Caren. I would say that we can do this with some memories. But I think it's more like simply ignoring that part which causes pain. I'm no psychiatrist, so not sure how we can do it. Thanks again.
