The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Music To Peel Grapes By

music to peel grapes by

alone and drowsy
after the storm
thunder has melted
away over the bay
lights are low and soft
melancholy serenade drifts
sensuously through the room

that is when they appear
swirling about me
in their full cocktail dresses
sparkling as Christmas
a mixture of expensive perfume
wafts by I feel the air move
Jackie’s music plays with my heart.

Methinks the mixture of music and your penchant for poesy combines into a lethal cocktail for mere mortal readers seduced by titles designed to entrap the indelibly curious. For me, peeling grapes will never be the same again! (oh wait, I have never peeled a grape) Forgive my meandering mind please, I admit only to a weakness for supremely serene wordestry. ~ j

Oops, I found you too. The title of this one is reinforced by the end verse and the content sublime. I simply had to reciprocate after your gracious comments on mine but more so because you thanked me and I understood what you were trying to convey. Having said all this I simply am gobsmacked by your obvious talent. I shall read on...

Please excuse the tooo II think my finger had a hiccough lol. Thank you so much for enjoying this poem. We had several really bad thunder storms tonight. I decided toliston to Jackie Gleason Orchestra (I love them) and Melancholy Seranad was laying and the rest is poetry.
