Muse Deconstruction

I CHISEL AND HAMMER
ON THIS WALL OF BRICKS
POUND AND PUMMEL
JUST TO GET TO YOU
WHEN THE BRICK HAS CRUMBLED
I FIND A WALL OF GLASS
THAT SURROUNDS YOU
LIKE A CAGE
I CAN SEE IN
BUT YOU CAN'T SEE OUT
SILENCED BY FRUSTRATION
I SIT AND CONTEMPLATE
YOU IN YOUR SHELL
I FIND TIME
HAS LOST ITS MEANING
I CAN STARE FOREVER
INTO YOUR ABYSS.

Reminds me a lot of poetry I wrote when I was younger. I especially like the last two lines as they really made me FEEL when I read them. Overall, the theme and imagery is quite nice. Very unique overall as a poem. A nice read that can make me relate to your frustration and be fascinated by the last few lines.

Thank you, friend. This is pretty old actually. I'm working on some newer ones. So glad you like it.
