Muse
When I feel deeply and fully
Dreams of joy coming to me
Passionate whispers caress my soul
Bringing with them a sense of purpose

When I feel like a little girl
Innocence keeps me filled with insight
Fervor for wisdom strokes my spirit
Touching my skin with reassurance
~
When I feel the promise of acceptance
Embracing me with a gentle warmth
Fires of comprehension mold my faith
Pushing me to share this unending grace
~
When I feel like I’ve met with serenity
Contentment beckons me to look up
Toward the heavens and God’s holy light
Connecting me to the One who inspires
~
When I feel the sweet compassion of ideas
Driving me on toward emotion and creativity
A hunger for the words I need keeps me drawn
Beckoning me to listen to my deepest thoughts
~
When I feel like my vision has wings and can fly
Imagination traces a line across my insides
Coloring my life with magical verbs and adjectives
Gifting me with a sense of complete happiness
~
When I feel the explosion of verses within my core
My muse motions me to let go of all my inhibitions
Replace them with the wonder of meditating on poetries
Converging with God’s gift of stanzas and rhymes
